An advantage of boarding at Chiquita Animal Hospital is that during regular hospital hours, your loved one is steps away from our team of veterinarians and technicians, should a medical issue arise. Clients who already have an established doctor-patient relationship at Chiquita Animal Hospital have added peace of mind knowing their pets are in good hands.

We walk our guests three times per day. Additionally, a doctor reviews each pet’s boarding progress at least once per day and scheduled medical treatments (if needed) are verified. All pets receive a complimentary bath if they are boarding at the hospital for more than five full days.

Pets must be up to date on vaccines and parasite screens prior to boarding at our facility in order to protect both your pet and our other boarding guests from diseases.

In order to ensure that our facility remains “flea-free”, we also require that each pet receive a flea tablet (Capstar, which only lasts 24 hours) on the dates of admission and discharge of the boarding stay.

Clients have the option of bringing their own food for their pet. We will happily provide food during your pet’s stay for an additional charge. Medication administration and other services that are requested are performed at an additional charge as well.

It is advised that you schedule boarding reservations, especially for holiday stays, well in advance in order to ensure your pet’s accommodations with us!
